PSG Institute of Management Coimbatore (PSGIM), before it got granted the autonomous status by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the University of Madras in 1994, was originally the Department of Management Science under the PSG College of Technology in 1964. PSGIM has collaborated with various international universities like the University of Nottingham, University of Hull, UK, etc. and is a member of various professional units like the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia, All India Management Association, AIMS International, Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), Coimbatore Productivity Council, etc.

The institute is affiliated with Anna University, and the AICTE approves all its courses. The institute is located in J block, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

PSG Institute of Management offers various Postgraduate courses like MBA Full-time and Part-time and a 2-year Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM).

The MBA full-time course is offered in various specializations like Marketing, Finance, Systems, Human resources, and operations. In addition, PSGIM also offers a 3-year MBA part-time course and a 2-year full-time PG Diploma in Management (PGDM), for which 2-year work experience is mandatory.

1. Selection to MBA/PGDM/Part-time MBA and PGDM is made on the basis of merit obtained in PSGIM Coimbatore MBA/PGDM Admission-Tests -  MAT/CAT/ATMA/TANCET
2. Candidates need to have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized university for the full-time MBA course/PGDM
3. The final selection for all courses is based on Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds.
4. Work experience is mandatory for the MBA Part-time and PGDM course. (minimum two years of post-qualification work experience and preferably worked as an executive or an administrator)

Step 1 - The aspirants can fill the application form for the MBA program through the PSGIM Coimbatore MBA/PGDM Online Admission process by visiting the official website of the institute - https://onlineapplication.psgims.net/im.html.

Step 2 - PSGIM MBA form can be filled through the Demand Draft Mode or the Payment Gateway mode. 

Step 3 - The aspirants can register using E-mail and fill in all the required details. They should attach a scanned photograph along with the application and pay the application fee of Rs. 1000.

Step 4 - Once the application is submitted, candidates will get a confirmation mail followed by an application number.

Step 5 - In two weeks, shortlisted candidates will receive a letter along with the dates for the interview.
