MAH-CET (MBA) Preparations Tips

Candidates preparing for MAH CET MBA Exam 2021 must refer to the preparation tips mentioned below. It is essential that you understand all the details about the exam before starting the preparation. The MH CET MBA 2021 application will be released soon. 

MAH-CET (MBA) is conducted for admission to the top MBA colleges of Maharashtra including JBIMS, SIMSREE, K. J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research, Mumbai and many more. The purpose of this test is to admit the aspirants who wish to do post-graduation in MBA or MMS. Every year, over 50k to 80k candidates appear for this test in order to get selected in the top prestigious institutes of Maharashtra.

If the candidate has a valid score of CAT / GMAT / CMAT / MAT / XAT / ATMA (if any), then he/she can directly appear for MAH-CET MBA counselling without appearing for MAH-CET 2021 exam. Candidates should focus on the sectional cut-off of MAH-CET 2021. Don’t try to ignore any section. In order to execute that, we’ll give you a few preparation tips that will guide you to the last.

MAH CET MBA 2021: Exam Pattern

The MAH-CET 2021 exam will be held online and the duration will be 150 minutes. The total number of questions will be 200 and each question carries one mark.

The question paper is of MCQs type and carries questions from Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VA-RC), Logical Reasoning (LR), Quantitative Aptitude (QA) and Abstract Reasoning (AR). The plus point for the students is that there is NO negative marking in this paper. There is NO sectional time limit in the test but it is suggested that candidates should plan a strategy to execute the paper.

Some Important Tips for MAH CET MBA 2021

  • Make a proper schedule- For the last few days, prepare a strategy plan that how you will brush up all the topics within a given period of time. Make a proper time-table and adhere to it. 
  • Focus on your weaker topics- Everyday, try to spend 2-3 hours on your weaker topics. This will improve your overall performance level.

  • Revise important concepts- Make a habit of spending at least an hour on revising the important concepts and theorems. Revise formulae and short tricks used in QA and LR.
  • Solve Mock Tests and PYQs- Try to solve as many mock tests’ papers and PYQs as you can. More you practice, the more easily you’ll be to achieve your goal. You can analyse your performance by noticing that as the number of mock tests increases, your performance would become better.
  • Make notes while doing revision- Always make a habit of making notes. This will help you in the last minute. 
  • Don’t neglect your strong topics- The topics in which you are strong enough to handle it, don’t ignore those topics. Give less time to those topics but don’t ignore. 
  • Don’t start a new topic- In the last few days, say NO to new topics. Revise only what you have studied earlier.
  • Take a proper sleep before the D-day- Do sleep 7-8 hours before the exam as it will increase your concentration level during the exam.
  • Do meditate- Meditation is one such technique that relaxes your state of mind and gives you positive vibes. Candidates should do to perform better in the exam.
  • Don’t revise during the last hours- Revising in the last minute will lead you to a bewilderment state of mind. Therefore, it is advised to be calm and relax at the last moment. 
  • Do maintain your speed and accuracy while solving paper- Set a time limit for each section and try to solve in that time limit. This will maintain your speed level. Accuracy in the exam will only be there when you have earlier solved mock tests’ papers. 
  • Attempt all the questions- Since, in MAH-CET test, you don’t have any negative marking, so you have the privilege of solving all the questions.
  • Be Confident during the exam- Having self-confidence in oneself is the key to victory. Attempt that section first in which you are strong enough to handle. This will not lessen your confidence level.
