Successfully placed 100% Post Graduate Programme in Management Course (PGPM) students. This year, despite the pandemic and its effects on the market, IIM Shillong witnessed an increase in the average and median salary offered to the students. However, as compared to last year, there has been a decrease of over 8 percent in the average of the top-20 percent of salaries offered to the batch. A significant section of the students has chosen either Consulting and Strategy or Sales and Marketing roles to begin their careers in management.  IIM Shillong Placements Process 2022 involves the following steps. 

• An interactive session organized between students and company representatives where students get information about the job profiles, roles & responsibilities, job location, etc. These sessions are called Pre Placement Talks. Pre Placement Talks help students make up their minds about applying for the discussed job roles.
• The profiles of interested candidates and other information are shared with recruiters.
• Companies are invited on-campus to conduct recruitment drives according to the interest shown by the students. 
• Companies conduct group discussions and interviews of shortlisted students.
• Final results are declared by the recruiters at the end of the process.
• Companies make offers to the selected students. Students are required to select or reject the offer within a stipulated period.

IIM Shillong has released the IIM Shillong Placements Report, according to which some significant IIM Shillong Placements 2021 facts have been summarised below for your reference. 

• 198 students of IIM Shillong and 64 recruiters took part in the placement drive.  
• Despite the pandemic conditions going on in the country, the institution has noticed an increase in average CTC by 2.18%, and the Highest CTC stood at INR 32 LPA, whereas the Average CTC observed was INR 19.17 LPA.
• Several top recruiters, including Amazon, ICICI Bank, Mahindra & Mahindra, Pidilite, EY, JP Morgan & Chase, Nomura Investment Bank, Ola Cabs, PwC, Xiaomi, participated in the IIM Shillong Placement Drive 2021. Pidilite and EY were top recruiters. 
• BFSI & IT-Analytics were the top recruiting sectors.
• The highest stipend for the summer placements was recorded as INR 3 Lakhs, and the Average stipend was INR 1.38 Lakhs. 100% of students were provided internship opportunities this year.

More than 64 companies participated in the IIM Shillong Placements 2021. Some IIM Shillong Top Recruiters on campus were Pidilite, EY, Berger, Bain and Company, Capgemini, OLA, PWC, Birlasoft, JP Morgan & Chase, TresVista, Titan, Godrej, FIITJEE, Fidelity, Extramarks, Emami, E E Shaw and Co., Deloitte, Conneqt, Cashe, ByteDance, Bisleri, Bajaj Finserv, Aditya Birla Capital, AbInBev, Goldman Sachs, Great learning, Groupm Cognizant, and others.  

There were 20 new recruiters at IIM Shillong Final Placements 2021. Some of them were Amagi Media Labs, EY, GamaSec, Godrej, IDFC First Bank, Lubrizol, Mahindra GMC, Microsoft, UnitedHealth Group (Optum), Shell, and Udaan. 

The top recruiting sectors were Consulting and Strategy BFSI and Sales and Marketing.
