• January 2021- The APJ Abdul Kalam Study Centre at IIM Shillong, which is supported by the Ministry of Development of the North Eastern Region (DoNER), will help in the implementation of the new National Education Policy (NEP) in the Northeast, Union Minister Jitendra Singh said.
• March 2021-IIM Shillong signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organization (CAHO) on March 11, 2021 
• May 2021- Prof. Madan Pillutla, a well-known professor of Organisational Behaviour from London Business School, has conducted an Inaugural Session for Leading and Managing post-covid: Preliminary hypothesis about what changes and what remains the same on May 2, 2021, from 17:30 – 19:00 hrs.
• May 2021-According to the latest news, IIM Shillong has conducted a "General Management Program" for India Oil Corporations Ltd Officials from May 31 2021, to June 5 2021.
• July 2021-Indian Institute of Management Shillong (Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Centre for Policy Research & Analysis) entered into an MoU with the Government of Arunachal Pradesh on July 23 2021. According to the MoU, the Government of Arunachal Pradesh will recognise Dr APJ Centre of IIM Shillong as an official Think Tank and Knowledge partner of the state government.
• July 2021-IIM Shillong signed an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) with North Eastern Regional Load Despatch Centre (NERLDC), M/s Power System Operation Corporation Limited (POSOCO), on July 2, 2021. The objective of this MoU is to strengthen academia-industry interaction for knowledge sharing and capacity building, joint research, joint certificate course, joint publication, seminars, workshops, and MDPs, just to name a few.

The CAT/GMAT test score is used to shortlist students for the MBA programme's IIM Shillong Admission Process. A valid GMAT score is required for international students, and an Indian student requires a valid CAT score to apply for IIM Shillong Admissions 2021. Here are some significant IIM Shillong Admissions Criteria 2021 that all candidates must be well acquainted with before applying for any of its courses.

• All candidates must register and apply online with the requisite application fees as per IIM Shillong guidelines regarding the same within a stipulated time frame. 
• Only the eligible candidates who have correctly submitted their application forms shall be considered for selection.
• IIM Shillong accepts CAT and GMAT scores for PGP programmes and GRE/JRF/GATE scores for its PhD programmes as applicable. 
• Only the students who acquire marks equal to or more than the IIM Shillong Cut Off Marks for various entrance tests shall be selected for subsequent rounds of selection like Writing Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI).

The IIM Shillong's cut-off score determines the preliminary shortlisting of the candidates for the PGP Programmes. Candidates must pass both the sectional and overall cut-offs. The IIM Shillong Cut-Off is usually between the 75th and 98th percentile. The IIM Shillong CAT Cut Off, and interview scores are used to determine the final cut-off. As per the IIM Shillong Placement Report 2021, the highest package was recorded at INR 32 Lakhs per annum, and the average package was recorded at INR 19.17 Lakhs per annum. Even though the average salary has increased from last year, the highest salary package has seen a decrease when compared to last year. The highest stipend recorded for summer placements was INR 3 Lakhs, and the average stipend was INR 1.38 Lakhs.

IIM Shillong offers post-graduate students a variety of IIM Shillong Scholarships based on their grades and financial needs. The number of students who shall be granted the scholarships and the quantum of financial aid extended is decided on the basis of the annual gross family income of the participant, his/her creditworthiness, participant's merit, participant's liquidity, and whether or not the participant meets other requirements set eligibility criteria. Scholarships for Scheduled Tribe (ST), Scheduled Caste (SC) and or People with Disabilities students are available as per the guidelines of the Government of India. 

IIM Shillong infrastructure and facilities include the following.

• Library- The library is fully automated and has an avid collection of reference books, general books, textbooks, working papers, and other documents and the non-book collection section, which has a compact disc, video cassettes, etc. It is also equipped with relevant and requisite e-resources such as ebooks, databases and e-journals.
• Canteen/Cafeteria- serves four meals a day, a variety of seasonal fruits, a variety of sweet dishes and cuisines to suit the diverse palette of its students. Food is also available during the night for the students. 
• Hostel- Accommodation for both boys and girls with single and double occupancy rooms within the campus are available. Hostels are connected with fast Wireless Mesh Network (WMN). The hostel offers 24-hour internet access, fully automatic washing machines, a hairdresser, a music room, a student library, television and recreational facilities. The rooms are adequate in size and storage capacity, and the hostel also offers washing and ironing services. Visitors will have access to an intercom system as well as guest rooms. Students have access to facilities such as a badminton court, basketball court, and cricket ground.
• Sports facilities- Badminton Court, Basketball Court, Swimming Pool, Table-Tennis, Cricket Ground, and Volley Ball playing ground are available on IIM Shillong campus. 
• GYM- IIM Shillong campus also has a gym for both boys and girls.
