IIM Nagpur Admission 2022: Eligibility, Cut Off, Selection, Online Form

Indian Institute of Management Nagpur, known as IIM Nagpur, is among the newly formed IIMs, that is mentored by IIM Ahmedabad and is known for its flagship 2 years MBA/Post-Graduate Programme (PGP). Admission is given based on the cut-off published for Common Admission Test (CAT), Past Academic Performance (PAP), Work Experience (WE), Diversity (DI), and score in Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT).

IIM Nagpur offers various specializations in MBA like Economics, Public Policy, Operations, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Behavior Sciences, Entrepreneurship, Accounting, General Management, and Finance.

For international candidates, 3 years of graduation with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent GPA will be considered. 

The GMAT score validity should not exceed five years. 

Reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC-NC (Non-Creamy) and PwD candidates has prescribed the Government of India will be applicable.

IIM Nagpur MBA Online Admission can be done by interested candidates just by filling an online form of the website of the institute specifying the course they are interested in and submitted the required documents.

The IIM Nagpur MBA Selection Criteria is conducted in 3 phases wherein the aspirant’s academic performance, CAT score, work experience, and performance in Personal Interview/Case Study and WAT will be considered.

Phase 1:

The candidate must be eligible as per the given cut-off percentile for different categories in the CAT exam:

GMAT Cut off score for International students in both sectional and overall will be considered. 

Phase 2:

Candidates will receive an email from IIM Nagpur, after which they will move to the next round of screening. 

They must fill in their basic, academic, and personal details, his past academic records, work experience, and diversity on the online link, on which the shortlisting will be done.

For work experience, scoring is done on the following grounds:

1. Less than six months - score is 0,
2. Between 6 - 18 months - score is 4, 
3. Between 18 - 24 months - score is 6, 
4. Between 24 - 30 months - score is 8,
5. Between 30 - 36 months - score is 10, 
6. More than 36 months - score is 4.

A diversity score is allotted based on the candidate’s gender, and bachelor’s degree:

• Male, then the score is 0, 
• Female, then the score is 5,
• Transgender, then the score is 5
• For a bachelor’s degree, candidates with a Non-Engineering subject get a score of 5. 
• A comprehensive score (CS) is calculated using work experience score, academic score, and diversity score.

For Indian Candidates 

C S = 0.30 * (CAT Score) + 0.35*(Academic Score) + 0.2* (Work Experience Score) + 0.15*(Gender diversity Score)

For Foreign Candidates

C S = 0.30 * (GMAT Score) + 0.35*(Academic Score) + 0.2* (Work Experience Score) + 0.15*(Gender Diversity Score)

Based on the calculated comprehensive score (CS), aspirants will be shortlisted and will get an email confirmation from IIM Nagpur for the online application. 

Phase 3:

The shortlisted candidates must give a Written ability test and Personal interview

The final score will be calculated as under:

Final Score = 0.35* (PI Score) + 0.05*(WAT Score) + 0.20* (CAT Score) + 0.20 * (Academic Score) + 0.20 * (Work Experience Score)

The selected students at this phase will receive provisional admission intimation by email, and they will have to pay an acceptance fee of Rs 50,000, including the registration amount of Rs 1000. (the remaining amount shall be adjusted in the fee). 

IIM Nagpur offers 2 years long Executive MBA for Working professionals

Eligibility Criteria:

A candidate should possess at least one of the following educational qualifications: 

A bachelor's degree in any field with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or an equivalent CGPA.

Candidates with a professional qualification can also apply provided they have achieved 50% in CA, CA, or ICWA.

Work Experience: A minimum of 3 years of entrepreneurial, managerial, or other professional experience is required. 

Screening Examination: The screening examination IIMNAT conducted by the IIM Nagpur which will be held Offline, for 90 minutes, at IIM Nagpur, VNIT Campus, having MCQ questions based on Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability, Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation need to be cleared

Selection Criteria:

Candidates who clear the Screening Examination performance, past academic performance, and personal interview will be considered for the final selection for admission to the EMBA Programme.

How to apply for EMBA?

Candidates must fill the online form.

Pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs 1500 and upload the required documents while filling the online application form.

All academic mark sheets and certificates should be self-attested and relevant Work Experience proofs.

Proofs of the existence and his role in the business, or association.

IIM Nagpur PhD admissions are based on CAT or GMAT scores followed by PI rounds. The admission process comprises steps like the initial application submission and screening process, PI round, and final admission. 

IIM Nagpur PhD. Eligibility Criteria:

• Postgraduate degree with a minimum of 60% or equivalent marks.
• Professional qualification – CA/ ICWA/ CS with at least 50% aggregate marks along with a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 60% or equivalent marks.
• A five-year integrated master’s degree
• A 4 year / 8 semesters bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 85% or equivalent marks.

IIM Nagpur Ph.D. Selection Criteria:

Stage 1: The candidates are required to fill the application form to be screened for the requirement and eligibility.

Stage 2: Candidates are then shortlisted for the PI round and are informed via mail.

Stage 3: The shortlisted candidates are called for personal interviews - two rounds, one with the area-led panel, another with the program-led panel.
