The above information is not a guarantee for being selected in any of the IIMs. It is only a guideline for the general profile required by the IIMs.
The final selection will be made based on performance in personal interview and written ability test followed by group discussion and personal interview. Performance in CAT/GMAT/WAT will not be considered for shortlisting for PGP-MBA/PGP-FDM at IIM Jammu.
Before final selection, the shortlisted candidates will have to go through group discussions, personal interviews, written ability tests, and document verification.
Considering the vast number of applications received every year by the IIMs, a large number of candidates with a similar profile can be shortlisted for the selection process. In such a case, the decision of the Selection Committee will be final regarding admission, based on various parameters, including academic performance, quality of work experience, and interpersonal skills.
IIM Jammu Finalizing the List of Selected Candidates:
The PGP program has four focus areas: Business Analytics, Finance, Marketing, and Operations and Supply Chain Management. The first year of the program is typical for all students. During the second year, students are encouraged to choose an area of specialization.
The PGP curriculum is delivered through classroom teaching, case studies, project work, guest lectures, and workshops. The curriculum is designed to provide students with a holistic view of management. Students are expected to demonstrate an ability to apply management principles to real-life situations by drawing on course material and organizational knowledge.
IIM Jammu Online Interview Rounds:
The faculty of all the IIMs agree upon the basic course structure. The curriculum builds a student's core competence in finance, marketing, operations, strategy, and general management.
The Post Graduate Program (PGP) runs over two years. It includes training in functional skills (like Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, and Operations Management), personal development courses (like Business Environment, Business Communication, Contemporary Issues in Management), electives (from an array of courses like Advanced Financial Management, Entrepreneurship, International Business, etc.), and two full-time residential sessions at the campus (at least 120 days in total).
The PGP is followed by the two-year specialization program called the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM), wherein the students choose their area of specialization. The final year of the PGP also marks the beginning of specialization programs.
