The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Amritsar is the 15th IIM set up by the Ministry of Education (earlier Ministry of Human Resource Development). The  IIM Amritsar Society was registered  on July 27, 2015, and the first batch for the class of 2015-17 was enrolled in August 2015. On October 14, 2015, the IIM Amritsar Board of Governance & Society was constituted.

IIM Amritsar MBA admission 2022  process involves two stages - the first stage involves the shortlisting of eligible candidates for the Personal Interview and the second stage wherein the shortlisted candidates go through the final round of PI for final selection. IIM Amritsar Admission Criteria 2022 - PG Course:

MBA admission at IIM Amritsar involves 2 steps –

1. In the first stage, eligible candidates are shortlisted for a Personal Interview (PI) / Written Ability Test (WAT) round, and in the second stage, the shortlisted ones are called for the PI-WAT round for final selection.
2. During final selection, a higher weightage is given to PI-WAT round, academics, work experience as compared to the CAT score.
3. Eligible candidates must fulfil the IIM Amritsar MBA eligibility criteria before submitting their application.

The two-year residential IIM Amritsar MBA is the flagship course wherein candidates are required to select one out of the seven electives offered in the term-III of the first year and to take one course on International Business in term-IV. 4. The mess serves all meals like breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and dinner.
5. The mess serves a multi-cuisine menu, including South Indian, Chinese, North Indian, and Non-Veg.
6. The payment for mess is made along with the trimester fees at the beginning of every trimester.
7. The Hostel and Mess Committee looks after the hostel infrastructure, housekeeping issues, etc.
