Certificate Course in Chartered Foresters:

Established in 1982, the Indian Institute of Forest Management – IIFM Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, is a public, autonomous institute of sectoral management with a student/faculty ratio of 1:5. IIFM offers postgraduate and doctorate level programmes (in 2 streams) and three certificates.

IIFM Bhopal offers all the basic infrastructural facilities to its students with separate hostels for both boys and girls.

IIFM offers PGDFM and PGP courses with only one specialization - Forestry Management. The other PGP specializations are Sustainable Management of the Environment and Resources.

IIFM Hostel Fee Structure:

IIFM Bhopal has an in-built hostel facility within the college campus. The IIFM hostel fee structure, depending on the type of occupancy, ranges from Rs. 16500 – Rs. 50000 depending upon the type of occupancy.

IIFM Bhopal FPM Fees 2021-23 - Financial Assistance:

For Monthly Fellowship:

1. All selected students who are also non-sponsored get a monthly fellowship of Rs. 16,000 during the first two years, which is later increased to Rs. 19,000 per month for the 3rd and 4th years of the programme.
2. A contingency amount of Rs. 35,000 per annum is provided to each candidate for 4 years.
3. IIFM PGDFM graduates selected for the fellow programme - FPM get financial assistance and contingency grant for 3 years.
4. This assistance is not available to the sponsored candidates.
5. If students get a salary from a sponsor, and if it is less than the prescribed monthly fellowship, then the difference will be paid out as an advantage to the student from fellowship provisions.

Contingency Grant:

A contingency grant up to Rs. 35,000/- per year for all the 4 years and for IIFM graduates for 3 years for purchasing stationery, journals, academic tour and travels, relevant books, computer accessories, xeroxing expenses.

General FPM Guidelines:

The candidates cannot take any other financial benefits from IIFM. They must sign a surety bond and agreement with the IIFM that in case of discontinuation of the FPM for any reason, the entire amount of fellowship and contingency shall be refunded by them.

IIFM Bhopal Certification Courses Fees 2021-23:

There are 3 categories of candidates eligible for Certification Courses:

• Young professionals who have graduated in horticulture, forestry, or post-graduate in forestry.
• Sponsored Candidates are the in-service professionals deputed for the course by the sponsoring organizations.
• Others are self-funded candidates who are either working professions or Retired forest officials.

• Plan A – Regular meals
• Plan B – Customised Meals

IIFM, Bhopal, offers three scholarships for its PGDFM programme:

Scholarships provided by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment:

• The Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of Top-Class Education for Scheduled Castes (SC) Students.
• Central Sector Scholarship Scheme of Top-Class Education for Scheduled Tribes (ST) Students

IIFM Bhopal’s scholarships of Rs. 5000 per month is awarded to meritorious students after the first term to motivate them and to cover for stationery boarding, full-fee, lodging charges, and books charges at a fixed rate.
