KPSC KAS Exam Pattern 2022

All the candidates who are interested in the exam must apply for it through online mode. All the candidates must verify the exam pattern of the Kerala Administrative Service exam to start their KPSC preparation. The Kerala Public Service Commission recruits various class A gazetted rank officers through this exam. The KPSC KAS exam is one of the prestigious exams among job aspirants. 

The KAS exam will be conducted in three stages; Prelims exam, Mains Exam, and Personality test. Prelims exam is an objective-type OMR-based exam. The duration for the prelims exam is 3 hours ( 180 Minutes). Each question in the prelims exam carries one mark, and there is a negative marking of 1/3 for every wrong answer. The mains exam of Kerala Administrative Service Exam is of the descriptive type. There are three papers included in the KAS Mains Exam.

KPSC Exam Pattern 2022 Selection Process

The Kerala Administrative Service exam has three stages of the selection process. The KAS selection criteria begin with the online application through the official website. After successful submission of the KAS online application, candidates will be invited for the prelims exam. Candidates who passed the prelims exam are qualified for writing the KAS Mains exam. Then it was followed by the personality test; the various steps of the KPSC selection process involve: 

  • Stage I: Prelims Exam
  • Stage II: Mains Exam
  • Stage III: Personality Test

The final list of the qualified candidates will be made based on the score secured on the Mains exam and Personality. The marks of the prelims exam are not considered for the final rank list. It is only treated as an eligibility test.

KAS Exam Personality Test 2022

The KAS Exam personality test is similar to the personal interview of the UPSC Exam. The panel of eminent personalities should interview candidates who passed the KAS Mains Examination. The personality test is not an exam of a candidate's knowledge; it is about the candidate's personality, attitude, social awareness, etc. The maximum mark of the Personality test is 50 Marks.
