The United Nations-sanctioned World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development is an international holiday dedicated to the promotion of problems related to diversity.

UNESCO adopted the Universal Declaration on Cultural Diversity in 2001. In December 2002, the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed May 21 to be the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development.
