"Nano Urea Liquid" has been termed a revolution within the agricultural sector. It's found to be effective and efficient for plant nutrition which increases the production with improved nutritional quality. Nano Urea Liquid has been tested in over 11,000 farmer fields to check its efficacy. At the country's first National Cooperative Conference on September 26, 2021, Union Home Minister Amit Shah also praised the fertilizer cooperative IFFCO for manufacturing Nano Urea Liquid.

What Is Nano Urea Liquid?

Nano Urea Liquid is the world's most enormously used solid nitrogen fertilizer that gives nitrogen to plants as a substitute for conventional urea.

IFFCO (Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative Limited) is India's biggest cooperative society, founded in 1967. This society has introduced the world's first Nano Urea Liquid for farmers worldwide. IFFCO's nano urea is the only nano fertilizer approved by the Govt. of India. Ramesh Raliya developed Nano Urea Liquid at Nano Biotechnology Research Centre (NBRC), Kalol, Gujrat, in line with Atamnirbhar Bharat and Atmanirbhar Krishi.

Nano Urea Liquid Properties

  • It contains 4.0 % of the overall nitrogen (w/v) evenly dispersed in water.
  • Nano nitrogen particles' size varies from 20 - 50 nm.

Nano Urea Liquid is probably the most widely used manure in farmlands worldwide. Ordinary granular urea is the typically used nitrogenous manure within the country, with a high nitrogen substance of 46%. It is available at the lowest prices.

Nano Urea additionally shapes 82% of nitrogenous composts used in India. It improves the dietary quality of the yields. Other than being financially safe, Nano Urea Liquid helps reduce environmental pollution. It also gives a solution for plant nourishment. Despite the lower use than granular urea and flow rendition, it provides higher supplement effectiveness to crops while diminishing air, soil, and water contamination.

Nano Urea Liquid - Process to Use

  • Use masks and hand gloves.
  • Opt for the IFFCO Nano urea bottle.
  • Choose 4ml nano urea per litre of water.
  • Mix water and nano urea.
  • Now spray it on the crops.

Points to Keep in Mind While Using Nano Urea Liquid

  • Use nano urea only in the morning or evening.
  • Avoid spraying when the wind is at high speed.
  • To avoid overdose, spray only in a straightforward way.
  • Avoid spraying in a foggy atmosphere.

Nano Urea Liquid - Safe to Use

Nano urea is completely safe for humans, animals, birds, and soil microorganisms. It's also expected to reduce environmental pollution and global warming.

Nano urea is eco-friendly and non-toxic. It's quickly absorbed by plant cells and also protects plants from different biotic and abiotic stress. It's easily transferred throughout the plant via phloem from the source to the sink as required.

FAQs on Nano Urea Liquid

Q 1. Which scientist developed the Nano Urea Liquid?

Scientist Ramesh Ralia developed the Nano Urea Liquid.

Q 2. Is Nano Urea Liquid safe to use?

Yes, Nano Urea Liquid is safe to use. It is significantly helpful in reducing global warming and environmental pollution.

Q 3. Why is the Nano Urea Liquid better than the granular urea?

The Nano Urea Liquid particle size is 30 nm, and the granular urea is 10,000 times more in surface area and volume. Because of the ultra-small size and surface properties, the Nano Urea Liquid gets better absorbed by plants when sprayed on their leaves. Hence, the Nano Urea Liquid is more useful than the granular urea.

Q 4. What guidelines do you have to follow while using the Nano Urea Liquid?

Ans. Steps to follow while using the Nano Urea Liquid -

  • Use masks and hand gloves.
  • Opt for the IFFCO nano urea bottle.
  • Choose 4ml nano urea per litre of water.
  • Mix water and nano urea.
  • Now spray it on the crops.

Q 5. What is the Nano Urea Liquid, and where is it developed?

The Nano Urea Liquid is a nutrient that provides nitrogen to plants as an alternative to conventional urea. It was developed by Ramesh Ralia at the Nano Biotechnology Research Centre (NBRC).
