CLAT 2020 is scheduled to be held on 28th September 2020 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and AILET 2020 is scheduled to be held on 26th September 2020 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Both these exams have a whole section devoted to Legal Aptitude and Legal Reasoning which tests the knowledge of the fundamental legal principles of the candidates.

One needs to improve his/her reading speed which would only be feasible with solving and practising a greater number of questions, with a proper time limit on a regular basis. Some things you may keep in mind while preparing this section are:
Know the concept, don’t just learn sections. If you understand the concept, you will know how to apply it. Bare Acts for each law are available online for free.
Each provision has a fact-based situation as an example. Read these to get a sense of how the law is applied to real-life situations.
Know at least the summary of landmark judgments. Many times the fact situations may correspond to these.
Practise previous year’s papers as the questions revolve around similar principles considering its limited pool.
Practising them would help you excel in the section and would also assist in increasing your speed.
You need to familiar with the most fundamental source for any law in the country. Thus, these notes will help you in revisiting these important topics in order to prepare yourself for this section.
