Educational Qualification:

• All the candidates who have pursued Graduation with 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or Graduation with at least 50% marks in Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) in Pedagogy/ 2-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)
• Primary Teacher (I-V)- Higher Secondary (or it's equivalent) with at least 45%% marks or relevant B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/ B.Sc.Ed. degree with at least 50 % marks. 
• Upper Primary Teachers (VI-VII)- candidate must have a relevant degree in B.SC/ B.AD/ D. ED (Diploma in education) with at least 45% marks or minimum 50% marks in B. ED.

Age Limit: There is no age limitation for giving the CGTET. 

The Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test 2020 consists of two papers. They are: 

• Paper 1 is for teachers who want to teach for students from class 1 to 5 
• Paper 2 is for teachers who want to teach for students from class 6 to 8
