Sikkim TET Eligibility Criteria 2021: The Sikkim Education Department has announced the new exam date for Sikkim TET Exam 2021 today, March 10, 2021. Sikkim TET Eligibility Criteria 2021:

The Sikkim TET eligibility criteria mentioned below are as per the official notification shared with us on the official website of the Sikkim Education Department, Read them carefully. The main criteria are:

1. Educational Qualification

Aspirants applying for Sikkim Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2021 have to check for the STET Eligibility Criteria 2021 beforehand to avoid dismissals in further stages.

Sikkim TET Eligibility Criteria for Primary Teacher (Paper -1)

  • 12th or it's equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate for unreserved candidates and 45 % in case of SC, ST, OBC (Central), OBC (State) and passed the final year of 2 years of D. El. Ed. OR
  • 12th or it's equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate for unreserved candidates and 45 % in case of SC, ST, OBC(Central), OBC(State) and passed in the final year of 4 years B. Ed. OR
  • 12th or it's equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 45 % in case of SC, ST, OBC (Central), OBC(State) and passed in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Education ( Special Education).

Sikkim TET Eligibility Criteria for Upper Primary Teacher (Paper -2)

  • B.A./B.Sc. with 50% in aggregate marks for unreserved candidates and 45 % in case of SC, ST, OBC(Central), OBC (State). With this, candidates must have passed the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed.). OR
  • B.A./B.Sc. with 50 % marks in aggregate for unreserved candidates and 45 % in case of SC, ST, OBC(Central), OBC(State) and passed in final year of 1/ 2 year Bachelor in Education (B. Ed.). OR
  • 12th or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate for unreserved candidates and 45 % for SC, ST, OBC (Central), OBC (State) and have passed in the final year of 2 years in Diploma in Elementary Education ( D. El. Ed), OR
  • 12th or its equivalent with a minimum 0f 50% marks for unreserved category and 45% marks in case of Sc, ST, OBC (Central), OBc (State) and passed or appearing in the final year of 04 years B. A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed or B.A/B.Sc.Ed.

Note: 1. A person who intends to appear in both the categories (Primary and Graduate) have to apply and take both the papers separately.

2. A Diploma/Degree course in teacher education recognised by NCTE shall be considered. In case, candidates have a Diploma in Education (Special Education) and B. Ed. (Special Education), a course recognised by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) is prefered.

Age Limit

The age limit for Sikkim Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) 2021 is 18 to 35 years. There will be age relaxation for the candidates who fall under the reserved category. Candidates must be a citizen of India/ Nepal/ Tibet/ Bhutan. The age limit and nationality requirements stated are eligibility criteria applicable to candidates for both level exams.
