Educational Qualification Criteria for NABARD Grade-A 2021

To apply for NABARD Grade-A recruitment 2021, a candidate must fulfill the following essential qualification (as of 01/07/2021).

i. Candidate must have passed 10th Standard (S.S.C./Matriculation) from a concerned State/UT coming under the State/Regional Office to which he/she is applying. Such qualification should be from a recognized board.
ii. In addition, the candidate should be a domicile of the State/UT coming under the Regional Jurisdiction of the Regional Office for which he/she is applying. The bank reserves the right to call for any valid document in support of the domicile status of the candidate.
iii. Candidates possessing Graduation and higher qualification are not eligible to apply. The applicants will be required to give self-declaration in this regard in an online application/at the time of appointment and/or as demanded by the Bank during the recruitment process.
iv. Candidate belonging to Ex-servicemen category must at least have passed 10th Standard (S.S.C./Matriculation) and served at least 15 years in defense service, provided they have not graduated outside the Armed Forces.

Age Limit for NABARD Grade-A 2021

The candidate must be between 18 and 30 years of age (as of 01/07/2021), i.e., the candidate must have been born not earlier than 02/07/1991 and not later than 01/07/2000 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply.

Relaxation in the Upper Age Limit: Upper age limit will be relaxed as under:

Nationality Criteria 

The candidates must be either a

(i) Citizen of India or

(ii) A subject of Nepal or

(iii) A subject of Bhutan or

(iv) A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or

(v) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania

(vi) Migrated students need to read the details provided by SBI through the brochure.

NABARD Grade A Selection Procedure 2021

The selection will be done in 3 Phases:

a) Preliminary Examination

b) Mains Examination

c) Interview

Now we will understand each phase in detail:

A) Preliminary Examination (Total Marks 200)

B) Main Examination (200 marks)

Main Examination will be online and will be a mix of MCQ and descriptive patterns.

  • Paper-I- General English: (Descriptive - writing skills - online through the keyboard). The paper will have descriptive questions.
    Duration: 1 ½ hrs – 100 marks
    The analytical and drafting abilities of the candidate shall be assessed through this Descriptive Paper on General English comprising essay writing, comprehension, report writing, paragraph writing & letter writing.
    (Common for Grade ‘A’ – RDBS, Rajbhasha, and Legal)
  • Paper-II (MCQ):
    I) For Grade A (RDBS)
    i) General Discipline as at (i) in Table 1 - Economic & Social Issues and Agriculture & Rural Development (with focus on Rural India)
    ii) Specialized Discipline as at (ii) to (xv) in Table 1 -: Paper on related discipline
    Duration: 1 ½ hrs. – 100 Marks
    II) For Grade A Rajbhasha
    The Paper will have multiple-choice questions. Duration: 1 ½ hrs – 100 marks proficiency in Hindi including Translation from English to Hindi and Vice versa. The analytical and drafting ability of the candidate shall also be assessed from the descriptive paper.
    III) For Grade A (Legal Services)
    The paper will have multiple-choice questions. Duration: 1 ½ hrs – 100 marks

The paper will be based on proficiency in interpreting various Laws viz., Banking, Negotiable Instruments, Company, Industrial and Cooperative Laws, Cyber laws, Commerce/Property
transactions, Rural non-life insurance, direct financing, staff matters, and good experience in drafting various types of documents.

C) Interview (25 marks)

Applicants qualifying in the Phase-II – Main Examination and securing a sufficiently high rank in merit shall be short-listed for interview. It will be of 25 Marks.
