IIM Sambalpur follows the Common Admission Process (CAP) for selecting their final candidates. After the candidates clear the CAT cut-off for IIM Sambalpur, they have to appear for Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT), for which they have to be present in person.

A cumulative score is calculated for each candidate that meets the cut-off list of IIM Sambalpur. The candidate's work experience and academic background are also considered based on which the final list of candidates is released.

• 30% weightage to CAT 2021 score and 20% weightage is given to PI and Candidate profile.
• 50% weightage will be assigned to PI for the final IIM Sambalpur Selection process.

• IIM Sambalpur PhD admission is based on CAT scores from 2018, 2019, and 2020.
• Candidates having a sectional percentile of 65 on the GRE/GMAT and an overall score of 80 on the GMAT are eligible for the PI shortlisting procedure.

• IIM Sambalpur offers a monthly stipend ranging from Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 40,000, as well as an International Conference grant and a Contingency fund.
