  • In the process, candidates will come across doubts and difficulties, those need to be solved prior exam.

2. Mugging up is of no help-

  • Mathematics is all about ‘understanding’, not mugging up.
  • Try to understand the concept behind the topic and then attempt questions related to it.

 3 Have mastery over formulas-

  • In maths, while facing a question, it is a formula that comes to your rescue.
  • While solving a problem, if you can find the right formula that has to be applied, half of the problem is solved.
  • Prepare a proper list of all the formulas and square roots & cube roots.
  • Mastery over formulas comes only when your basics and fundamentals are clear. Also, constant revision is also required.

4 Solve previous years’ question papers-

  • Revision plays a major role in boosting scores.
  • Try to attempt as any previous year question paper as one can that helps in developing an idea about the pattern of the exam.

5 Give importance to ‘weighty’ chapters-

  •  In maths paper, certain chapters carry more weight, in terms of marks. So, naturally, more time and effort has to be allotted towards the preparation and revision of those sections.
  • Mathematics involves two-section Pedagogy as well as Calculative part so it is necessary to maintain a balance between them.

6 Manage time well during the examination-

  • As it is difficult to predict the level of the Qualifying exam but consideration should be a moderate one.
  • Sometimes candidates find it difficult to attempt all questions within the amount of time allotted. So, this problem can be tackled by solving mock test & previous year question papers.
  • Try to attempt mock test within the stipulated time and create an examination hall environment.
