Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has recently released the notification for the recruitment of PGT, TGT teachers. Last date to fill the form is 28 December 2015. CTET test is the minimum eligibility criteria for the selection as a government teacher. So, CTET is must for all those who wants to pursue their career in teaching. After getting the CTET certificate, you are eligible to apply as a teacher in different Government i.e. Central, aided and unaided private school.

Here in this article, we are discussing a strategy on how to crack Child Development and Pedagogy Exam in one attempt??

CTET Paper 1 and Paper 2 is scheduled to be held on 21 February 2016. So, now the focus is on the strategy and tips to crack the exam with the remaining time left for it. It is very important to prepare well for the exam. We are sure you would be looking for useful advice for your preparation.

Child Development and Pedagogy

Child Development and Pedagogy is the common subject in Paper 1 and Paper 2. Child Development and Pedagogy is totally a theoretical subject. Overall the level of the questions was of moderate level. Broadly, Child Development and Pedagogy is divided into two parts:

  • 15 questions will be asked from Child Development
  • 15 questions from Pedagogy

Child Development:  Distribution of questions

(i) Child Development (Primary School Child) : 15 Questions

In this section, you need to study more about thinkers and their ideology. The questions which were asked mainly based on the ideology and Principle of Thinkers.

(ii) Concept of Inclusive education and understanding children with special needs : 5 Questions

In this section, you need to put more focus on the special attributes made for the special children. Mostly questions are based on the behavior of teacher in case of special child, relationship of teacher and students.

(iii) Learning and Pedagogy: 10 Questions

Here, mainly the questions derived from the pedagogy of child behavior.

Tips to secure good marks in Child Development

Attempt mock tests

There are many mock tests available online. Try to attempt them as much as possible. The more you solve them, the more confident you will get.

Revise previous year question paper

Revise as many past question papers as possible. That will give you an idea as to what to expect in the exam. CTET repeats question often, so the practice of question paper gives you an fair idea about the paper pattern and the level of questions.

Prepare thinkers ideology well

In Child Development section, prepare thinkers thoughts and principle nicely. Revise the questions from previous year paper.
