How to Attempt CTET Exam in Online Mode?

How to attempt CTET in Online Mode: CTET is the most sought exam and the only gateway to getting a teaching job in the schools at the junior and elementary levels. Qualifying for the exam is the minimum eligibility requirement defined for teachers who are working at any government, public or private school. The CTET 2022 Examination is conducted in online mode. So aspirants must have a proper strategic plan based on their abilities. A good preparation plan provides a defined path for the candidates. So, here we are providing the article on how to attempt CTET in Online Mode.

Given below are tips and steps to attempt the CTET 2022 Exam in an online mode which will help you to crack CTET 2022.

How to Attempt CTET Exam in Online Mode?

  • A login screen will be displayed to the candidate. The candidate has to log in using his/her User ID and Password which is provided in the Call Letter.
  •  The total duration of the examination is 2 hours and 30 minutes. [compensatory time  for candidates with a disability eligible for compensatory time.]
  •  The clock will be set on the server. The countdown timer in the top right corner of the screen will display the remaining time available for you to complete the examination. When the timer reaches zero, the examination will end by itself. You will not be required to end or submit your examination.
  • The version of tests will be English and language as applied to the state (under which the application is registered). The questions will appear in English and the selected language as applied to the state.

1. How do Open and Read Questions?

To answer a question, do the following:

  • Click on the question number in the Question Palette at the right of your screen to go to that numbered question directly. Note that using this option does NOT save your answer to the current question.
  • Click on Save & Next to save your answer for the current question and then go to the next question.
  • Click on Mark for Review & Next to save your answer for the current question, mark it for review, and then go to the next question.

2. How to Answer Questions in the CTET Online Exam?

Procedure for answering a multiple choice type question:

  1. To select your answer, click on the button on one of the options
  2. To deselect your chosen answer, click on the button of the chosen option again or click on the Clear Response button
  3. To change your chosen answer, click on the button of another option
  4. To save your answer, you MUST click on the Save & Next button
  5. To mark the question for review, click on the Mark for Review & Next button. If an answer is selected for a question that is Marked for Review, that answer will be considered in the evaluation.
  •  To change your answer to a question that has already been answered, first select that question for answering and then follow the procedure for answering that type of question.
  • Note that ONLY Questions for which answers are saved or marked for review after answering will be considered for evaluation.

3. Steps to Attempt CTET Online Exam:

As per the press release by the CBSE, CTET will be conducted online mode. Candidates might be struggling to know the procedure to attempt the CTET in an online mode. Here we are sharing steps to attempt CTET in an online mode.

Step 1: Candidates need to enter their login id & password. E.g. Login Id can be their registration number and their Password can be their Date of Birth

Step 2: Candidates need to log in 20 minutes before the beginning of the CTET.

Step 3: Afterwards they need to check whether their photograph and other detail credentials match or not.

Step 4: Afterwards a pop-up will appear providing information related to CTET - Question included in the Question Paper and Section(Subject).

Step 5: Candidates need to select a language - English or Hindi, As CTET will be in (Bilingual) Mode. Even candidates can select other languages opted by them while filling out the Application form.

Step 6: Then another will be time clock will appear within the gap of 10 minutes exam will begin. Candidates shouldn't touch any key of the keyboard all the actions are to be performed by a mouse click only.

Step 7: Once the exam starts without wasting time start your exam as the clock begins and once the time is over exam will be submitted on its own. 

It is important to note that Rough Sheet will be provided by the examination centre.

Things to be Carried At the Examination Centre:

  1. Admit Card Colored - 2 copies.
  2. Two passport-size photographs.
  3. ID Proof - Voter ID, Aadhaar Card, Pan Card, etc. along with its photostat
  4. 1 black/blue ballpoint pen.
  5. 1 bottle of 100 ml sanitiser (should be transparent).
  6. 1 bottle of drinking water and the bottle should be transparent.

Do's & Don't During the CTET Online Exam:

  • Candidates should avoid wearing full sleeves dresses.
  • Candidates should avoid wearing shirts with big buttons.
  • Candidates should avoid wearing gold ornaments - rings, earrings, chains, and bangles.
  • Candidates should not wear shoes and avoid wearing belts.
  • Candidates should wear half sleeves shirt and loose trousers.
  • Candidates should not carry any electronic devices - phones, tablets, laptops, Bluetooth, and pen drives to the examination centre.
