The YUKTI portal also covers the efforts taken by the academic institutions and research being done at the national level for the pandemic COVID-19. The YUKTI portal also allows various institutions to share and analyse the challenges and strategies being taken to slow down and prevent the effects of COVID-19.

Hence, the portal aims to establish a two-way communication bridge between the MHRD and other ministry institutions. Institutions also handle various critical issues related to promotion policies of students and challenges related to the mental well being of a student.

Why is YUKTI in the news?

The Ministry of Human Resource Development recently launched the second version- YUKTI 2.0. It is an initiative that helps the ministry systematically assimilate technologies that have potential in the coming future. It also contains information related to startups in higher institutions. It was launched on June 23, 2020. The first version of YUKTI was launched in April 2020.
