Environmental Studies is a multidisciplinary academic field which systematically studies human interaction with the environmentEnvironmental studies connect principles from the physical sciences, commerce/economics, the humanities, and social sciences to address complex contemporary environmental issues.

EVS is a very common acronym. The full form of EVS is 'Environmental Studies'. This is taught in terms of three subjects mainly to the students. Those subjects include History, Geography, and Science.

 EVS is also applied to solve day to day problems of the environment and its components.

If we study about Pollution in EVS, we will study the history of it, as to how and when pollution started. Then we will study the areas that are the most and least affected by Pollution. And lastly, we will study the physical, chemical and biological aspects of Pollution.

Under the spectrum of EVS, topics like safety, health, types of jobs people do, resources and their conservation, natural and manmade resources, natural disasters, etc are also studied and taught to students.
