A vessel contains mixture of oil and water in the ratio of 4 : 7. Now, 8 litres of this mixture is replaced by water. The new ratio of oil and water becomes 4 : 9. Find the initial quantity of water (in litres) in the mixture.

Two pipes can fill a cistern in 14 hrs and 16 hrs respectively, the pipes are opened simultaneously and it is found that due to leakage in the bottom, 32 minutes extra are taken for the cistern to be filled up. If the cistern is full, in what time would the leak empty it?

Average present age of A and B is 20 years. Age of A two years hence is equal to B, two years ago. Sum of the age of B and C is 45 years. Find the difference of age of A and C.
