The Kerala Public Service Commission (KPSC) set the eligibility criteria for various examinations conducted in the State. The exams conducted by the Kerala PSC include the Kerala state services that include the post of Lower Division Clerk, Sub-Inspector, Block Development Officer, Municipal Secretary, Village field assistant etc. Here we are discussing eligibility criteria for the Lower Division Clerk (LDC) posts.

Kerala PSC has given certain prerequisites in order to claim the benefit of age relaxation or reservation as given below:
- The Candidate must have a Domicile of India.
- A candidate claiming for the reservation must produce the category certificate during the document verification.
- Candidates who are eligible for the reservation/age relaxation in multiple categories for the Kerala PSC LDC Exam shall be entitled to one concession.
Kerala PSC LDC Exam Educational Qualification 2021
The educational qualification required for the Kerala PSC LDC Exam 2021 is as follows:
- If you want to apply for this Kerala PSC LDC exam, then you must have an SSLC / Tenth level certificate from Kerala State Board/ from recognized Educational Boards.
- You must also make sure that you are fluent in the Malayalam language, both verbal and written. Those who have proficiency in the Tamil Language can also write the exam, but after the selection procedure, the selected candidates must pass the Malayalam language proficiency test within 6 Months.
Kerala PSC LDC Exam Other Eligibility Criteria 2021
We must also make sure that you fulfil the following criteria for writing Kerala PSC LDC Exam 2021.
a. Number of Exam Attempts
- There is no limit to be fixed on the number of Exam attempts.
b. Marital Status
- The person who was married/unmarried is eligible for writing the exam.
c. Nationality
- The Candidate must be an Indian.
d. Reservations
- All the Backward Classes ( SC/ST) of Kerala shall be admissible in accordance with the provision of relevant Kerala Govt. Rules.
- Candidates belonging to economically weaker sections (EWS) are also eligible for the reservations. Those candidates should produce their relevant documents before the authorities during the document verification.
