- Aleksandar Vučić has served as Serbia’s president since 2017, and since 2012 he has been serving as the president of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS).
About Serbia:

- India’s ambassador to Nepal and an IFS officer of the 1988 batch, Vinay Mohan Kwatra will take over as the new foreign secretary.

- He will replace incumbent Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla.
- Kwatra, a 1988-batch IFS officer, is currently serving as Ambassador of Nepal from January 2020.

- On this day, people worship Gauri, the wife of Lord Shiva, with great fervor and devotion.
- Gana is a synonym for Lord Shiva and Gaur which stands for Gauri or Parvati symbolizes Saubhagya.
- As per Hindu beliefs, on this day unmarried women worship her for being blessed with a good husband, while married women do so for the welfare, health, and long life of their husbands and for a happy married life.

- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy digitally inaugurated 13 new districts. The new districts have been carved out from the existing 13 districts, bringing the number of districts in the state to 26.
Key Points:
- Now, Prakasam with 14,322 sq km area and PSR Nellore district with 24.697 lakhs of population emerged as the largest districts. The two districts together have 8 constituencies and 38 Mandals.
- Parvathipuram Manyam district is the smallest district with the smallest area of 3,659 sq km and the lowest population of 9.253 lakhs.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan released a book on the life of tribal freedom fighter Birsa Munda.
Key Points:
- The book titled ‘Birsa Munda - Janjatiya Nayak’ is written by Prof Alok Chakrawal, Vice-Chancellor of Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur.
- The book is a comprehensive attempt to bring to the fore the struggle of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and the contribution of forest dwellers in the freedom movement.
About Birsa Munda:
- Birsa Munda was a young tribal freedom fighter who was arrested by the British on March 3, 1900, and died young at the age of 25 in the jail of Ranchi on June 9, 1900.
- In 2021, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared in Bhopal that Birsa Munda’s birth anniversary, on November 15, will henceforth be observed by the government, just like Gandhi Jayanti, Sardar Patel's birth anniversary and the birth anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar.
