Hurun Richest Self-Made Women in the World 2022
Why in news?
- The list of the richest self-made women billionaires in the world for 2022 was released by Hurun Research Institute. In the list of top 10, there are 8 Chinese women, 1 each from US and UK and 1 from India.
Key points:
- Rupert Hoogewerf, also known by his Chinese name Hu Run, is the chairman and chief researcher of Hurun Report, a research, media and investments business, best known for its Hurun Rich List, a ranking of the wealthiest individuals in China.
- Three Indian women Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw of Biocon, Falguni Nayar of Nykaa, and Radha Vembu of Zoho have been featured in the latest Hurun Richest Self-Made Women in the World 2022 (Hurun list of women self-made billionaires).
- Wu Yajun, a Beijing-based property developer has topped this list.
- CEO and Founder of Nykaa, Falguni Nayar with 7.6 billion dollars has been placed in the top 10 richest list.

New Chemical Reference Material
Why in news?
The National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL) has indigenously developed six new and rare Reference Materials (RMs), which are the purest form of chemical required for anti-doping analysis in all WADA-accredited laboratories across the world.
Key Points:
- The RMs were launched by the Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Shri Anurag Singh Thakur during the 15th Governing Body Meeting of NDTL, in the presence of Sports Secretary Smt. Sujata Chaturvedi and other senior officials of the Sports Ministry.
- Reference Materials (RMs) are the purest form of chemical required for anti-doping analysis.
About National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL):
- The National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL) is a premier analytical testing & research organization established as an autonomous body under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.
- It is the only laboratory in the country responsible for human sports dope testing.
Andhra Pradesh’s First ‘She Auto’ Stands Set Up
Why in news?
- In a move to provide safe transport to women and girl students, Andhra Pradesh’s police have set up three ‘She Auto’ stands, the first of its kind in the state.
Key Points:
- Tirupati is the first state in the state to set up special auto stands for women like this.
- Earlier, women, auto drivers use to keep their vehicles with men at other auto stands.

Ministry of Culture launches ‘Temple 360’ website
Why in News?
- Recently, Temple 360, was inaugurated by the Union culture ministry. Now devotees may do online darshan of important pilgrimage sites or temples at their convenience and from any location.
Key Points:
- On the website, visitors will see live video feeds from temples all around India.
- The Minister for State for Culture, Meenakshi Lekhi, unveiled the website ‘Temple 360’ during an event hosted by her Ministry in New Delhi under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav banner.

- Viktor Orban has again been elected as the Prime Minister of Hungary for the fourth time.

- His right-wing Fidesz party won 135 of 199 seats with almost 99% of the votes counted.

- Arunabha Ghosh, a leading Indian public policy expert has been appointed by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to an expert group aimed at developing stronger and clearer standards for net-zero emissions pledges by non-state entities – including businesses, investors, cities and regions – and speed up their implementation.

2021 Khelo India University Games logo was unveiled
Why in News?
- 2021 Khelo India University Games logo was unveiled recently. It will be held in Karnataka from 24th April 2022. At the Sree Kanteerava Stadium, Bengaluru the logo was unveiled.
Key Ponts:
- The Jain University, Bengaluru will be hosting this event from 24th April to 3rd May 2022.
- This event was postponed earlier due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
- This edition will be the second edition of the games.
- The first edition of the Khelo India University Games was held in Odisha in 2020.
- Nearly 4,500 athletes will be participating from across India.
- An app named Khelo India App was also launched by the state for providing live updates on the Games.
- Mascot: The official mascot of the Games is ‘Veera’, an elephant.

National Maritime Day 2022 observed on the 5th of April
Why in News?
- India celebrates National Maritime Day every year on April 5. The convention of celebrating the day on April 5 is to recognise the sail of the first Indian commercial vessel of colonial India from Mumbai to London in the year 1919.

- The commercial vessel was named SS Loyalty, which was owned by Scindia Steam Navigation Company Ltd.
- India has a coastline that is 7,500 km long, on which the country has 12 major and over 200 non-major ports.
Note:
The Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) is in the 33rd spot and Mundra Port is the 37 best international shipping port out of the best 40 international shipping ports for containers.
