AAI and Sweden sign an MoU for Sustainable Aviation Tech
Why in News:
- A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed by LFV Air Navigation Services of Sweden and the Airports Authority of India (AAI) at AAI Corporate Headquarters in New Delhi.
Key Points:
- The MoU between Sweden and the Airports Authority of India (AAI) brings together two air navigation service providers, India and Sweden, who have a history of developing and implementing the most cutting-edge environmentally friendly aviation technology, to look into intelligent aviation solutions.
- This MoU would make it easier for the two nations to exchange aviation technology and knowledge.
- This will help Indian enterprises expand more quickly by utilizing Swedish innovation and knowledge.
- At the time of the new agreement's signing at the AAI Corporate Headquarters in New Delhi, senior members of the Airports Authority of India (AAI), LFV, the Swedish Embassy in New Delhi, and the Business Sweden-Swedish Trade and Investment Council were also present.
- The government wants to considerably improve the partnership between LFV Sweden and the Airports Authority of India (AAI) in civil aviation for the creation and use of cutting-edge, intelligent, and environmentally friendly aviation technology.
- Tanmay Lal is the ambassador of India to Sweden, and Mr. Klaas Molina is the ambassador of Sweden to India.

World's largest religious monument to open in West Bengal
Why in News:
- The Temple of the Vedic Planetarium in West Bengal, which will house the headquarters of the International Society of Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), is the largest religious structure in the world and also has the largest dome.
Key Points:
- The founder of ISKCON, Srila Prabhupada, built the Vedic Planetarium Temple, which takes design cues from the American Capitol building.
- The temple is greater than the Taj Mahal, the famous St. Paul's Cathedral in the Vatican, and the white marble dome building.
- The International Society of Krishna Consciousness will have its headquarters in the temple of the Vedic planetarium (ISKCON).
- The temple was initially intended to welcome guests by the year 2022, but owing to the COVID-19 pandemic's delay, the opening date has now been moved to the year 2024.
- The massive 400-acre Angkor Wat temple is currently the biggest religious structure in Cambodia.
- In West Bengal's Mayapur, the Vedic Planetarium temple is situated in the Nadia district.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister launched 'CM Udyman Khiladi Upgradation Scheme'
Why in News:
- “Mukhyamantri Udyami Khiladi Unnayan Yojana” has been launched by the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, on the occasion of National Sports Day.

- Under the CM Udyman Khiladi Unnayan Yojana, the Chief Minister's Sports Development Fund will be set up to provide financial benefits to the students as per the speedy rules.
- In view of the shortage of sports coaches under the CM Udyman Khiladi Upgradation Scheme, eight sports coaches will also be appointed in each district.
- Under this scheme, a sports scholarship of Rs 1500 per month will be provided to the budding players in the age group of 8 to 14 years and after this scholarship will also be given to players of 14 to 23 years.
- Under this scheme, a total of 3900 budding sportspersons will be provided scholarships every year, which will include 1950 boys and 1950 girls.
- Efforts will be made by the government under this scheme to re-implement 4 percent reservation for sportspersons in government jobs as before.
- Under the CM Udyman Khiladi Unnayan Yojna, the State Sports Awards, along with the Himalayan Ratna Khel Award, as well as Devbhoomi Uttarakhand Khel Ratna, and Devbhoomi Uttarakhand Dronacharya Award will also be given by the government.

- According to a survey by Brand Finance Insurance 100, 2021, a London-based brand valuation consultancy organization, Life Insurance Corporation (LIC), a state-owned insurance company and life insurer, is the third largest and tenth most valuable insurance brand globally.
- According to the report, the combined value of the top 100 insurance brands in the world declined by 6% from 462.4 billion dollars in 2020 to 433.0 billion dollars in 2021.
- According to the report, the brand value of LIC has increased by almost 7 percent to 8.65 billion dollars.
- Five Chinese insurance companies are among the top 10 most valuable insurance brands in the world, with Ping an insurance ranking the most valuable brand after a 26% reduction in brand value.
- France, Germany, and India each have one insurance company on the list, and two companies from the United States are included in the top ten.
