- As part of the event, the officials of South Indian Bank have been honored with the 'Staging and Swinging 101 Oonjals' World Book of Records award by the World Book of Records team.
- Oonjals are part of a ritual at weddings in Tamil Nadu in which married couples are swung in a swing and women sing traditional songs around the swing.

Indian Naval Ship Tarkash Reaches South Africa for IBSAMAR VII

- Indian Naval Ship INS Tarkash has reached Port Grekuria which is also known as Port Elizabeth in South Africa.

- INS Tarkash will participate in the seventh edition of IBSAMAR, a joint multinational maritime exercise between the Indian, Brazilian and South African navies.
- The Indian Navy in IBSAMAR VII will be represented by a Teg class guided missile frigate, INS Tarkash, Chetak helicopter and personnel from the Marine Commando Force (MARCOS).
- The joint maritime exercise has been initiated with the goal of strengthening inter-operability for maritime security, joint operational training, sharing of best practices and addressing common maritime threats.
- IBSAMAR is the acronym for India-Brazil-South Africa Maritime and is a series of naval exercises between the navies of India, Brazil and South Africa.
