• The Operations Manual of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao has been released by Union Minister Smriti Irani.

key points:

• Under the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao programme, the Central Government has announced to include the skills of girls in non-traditional livelihood (NTL) options.
• The Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao scheme will now also focus on increasing the enrollment of girls in secondary education, especially in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) subjects.
• The initiative aims to ensure that teens complete their education, build skills, and enter the workforce in a wide variety of occupations, including STEM fields.

• Hostel built in Modi Shaikshanik Sankul Campus is an educational complex for needy students consisting of 116 rooms in 12 storeyed hostel and will provide accommodation and food facilities for more than 400 students.

• The socialist cry of Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan, who was the personification of sacrifice, is being echoed today.
• No movement can succeed, in the opinion of Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan, without the backing of the middle class.
• At the Gandhi Maidan in Patna, Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan recited another well-known catchphrase: "Take away caste-paat, leave tilak-dowry, redirect the flow of society in a new path."
