Yogi Adityanath is the CM of UP 2023. Established in the year 1950, Uttar Pradesh is the most populated state in India, with more than 200 million inhabitants. The state has 75 districts and 18 divisions, with Lucknow being the state capital. Uttar Pradesh is considered one of the most important states in India. Yogi Adityanath became the UP CM for the second time in 2022.

In 2022, Yogi Adityanath emerged out victorious as the CM of UP for the second time. He served his first tenure from 19 March 2017 to 25 March 2022. First CM of UP

Govind Ballabh Pant was the first CM of UP, who served in the CMO from 26 January 1950 – 20 May 1952 and 20 May 1952 – 28 December 1954. He was a member of the Indian National Congress (INC). Besides being the first chief minister of UP, Ballabh Pant was also a freedom fighter who did his part in the Indian independence movement.

  • He received the Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian honor, in 1957.

  • Akhilesh Yadav was the 20th chief minister who served Uttar Pradesh at the age of 38, which makes him the youngest person to acquire that position.
  • During his tenure, he focused on developing the power sector, allotting unemployment allowances, and modernizing the police force of the state.

  • Yogi Adityanath is the current chief minister of UP who has been serving the state since the year 2017.
