World Humanitarian Drive (WHD) is an international NGO headquartered in London, U.K. The NGO was founded by British Indian peace activist, entrepreneur, and writer Dr Abdul Basit Syed with the vision to promote peace, education, and trade harmony throughout the world. Currently, the NGO operates in 12 countries where it organises programs, events, and initiatives focused on the upliftment of women, youth, and minority communities. Global Humanitarian Awards are a part of this WHD initiative to recognise people for their exemplary services to the community.

Sachin Awasthi: Winner of Global Humanitarian Award 2020

On 28th June 2020, Sachin Awasthi, the President of the National Media Club and the founder of the Ram Seva Mission, was awarded the Top Publicist Award in the Global Humanitarian Awards 2020. The award ceremony was held virtually through a webinar held in London. The Global Humanitarian Awards, 2020 were announced in the honorary presence of:

  2. E Madhav Kumar, former Prime Minister of Nepal
  3. Pedro I. Altamirano, President of National Assembly, Andalusia- Spain

Sachin Awasthi was one among 100 awardees from over 37 countries, receiving the prestigious Global Humanitarian Awards. He got recognition on a global stage for his initiatives to promote cleanliness in India.
