Question 8

Direction: Study the graph carefully and answer the questions that follow.

5 high blood-pressure patients (Smit, Ishita, Sanchit, Yahan, Takara) get their blood pressure checked 4 times in a day at 8 am, 1 pm, 6 pm and 11 pm in a hospital.

The given below chart shows the data of the systolic reading (in mmHg) of the 5 patients on a particular day.

 Note:
1) Candle – Top end & bottom end represent the systolic reading (in mmHg) of the 5 patients at 8 am and 11 pm. If the candle is black, it represents that the systolic reading at 8 am is more than the systolic reading at 11 pm. If the candle is white, it represents vice versa.
2) Vertical line represents highest & lowest systolic reading on the day.

For the readings after the first, if the difference was 20% or more than the earlier reading, it was measured again after 2 hours, otherwise it was measured agin after 3 hours apart from the given timing slots. For all patients, the 8 am, 1 pm, 6 pm and 11 pm readings were respectively their 1st, 3rd, 5th and last readings. If for Takara, all the blood pressure reading took place at 3 hour intervals, what was the maximum possible reading for him?

Question 9

2) Vertical line represents highest & lowest systolic reading on the day.

Another patient, Umang was added to the hospital the next day, his previous day record was checked and all his systolic readings were found to be at least 10% more than all the patients for the 4 timings. What was the minimum possible average systolic reading (in mmHg) for the patient? All the systole readings are a multiple of 5 and if the systolic reading is not a multiple of 5 consider the next multiple of 5. For example reading of 101.5 will be considered as 105.
