How to Apply Online for JPSC Exam:
- Candidates willing to apply need to visit the website (https://jpsc.gov.in/)
- Click on the JPSC Prelims registration followed by filling the application form, uploading the documents and playing the exam fee.
- Submit Required Details.
- Upload your scanned image along with Signature.
- Submit the final form.

JPSC Eligibility Criteria
1. Minimum Age-
- For Administrative Services- 22 years
- Police Services and product services- 20 years
- For Finance Services- 21 years
Age Relaxation:

JPSC has given certain prerequisite in order to claim the benefit of age relaxation or reservation as given below:
- Candidate must have a Domicile of Jharkhand.
- A candidate claiming for the reservation of seat must produce the category certificate from the competent authority
- Candidates claiming reservation/age relaxation in multiple categories for the JPSC Exam shall be entitled to only one concession, whichever is more beneficial.
JPSC Educational Qualification
- Graduation or equivalent degree from any university recognized by the government.

JPSC Combined State Civil Services Exam have three levels which are as follows:
- Preliminary Exam
- Main Exam
- Personality Test/Interview
1. Preliminary Exam (Objective Type)

Notes:
- There is no negative marking.
- These papers are objective in nature.
- Marks obtained in both the papers are collectively used to determine the cut off for the preliminary exam. However, these marks will not be accounted for the final merit list which consists of marks of mains and personality test only.

JPSC PCS Prelims Exam
It includes two papers i.e. General Studies & Jharkhand specific General Studies
General Studies Paper
It includes the following subjects:
- History of India: Ancient India (5 questions); Medieval India(5 questions) and Modern India(5 questions)
- Geography of India: General Geography(3 questions); Physical Geography(3 questions) ; Economic Geography(2 questions) and Social & Demographic Geography.(2 questions)
- Economic and Sustainable Development: Basic features(4 questions); Sustainable Development(4 questions) and Economic issues(2 questions).
- Indian Polity and Governance: Constitution of India(4 questions); Public Administration and Good Governance(4 questions); Decentralization: Panchayats & Municipalities(2 questions)
- General Science(6 questions); Technology & IT(3 questions); Agriculture (6 questions)
- National & International Current Events(15 questions)
- Jharkhand Specific Questions (General Awareness of its History, Society, Culture & Heritage)(10 questions)
- Miscellaneous questions of general nature. (15 questions)

It includes:
- History of Jharkhand (8 questions)
- Jharkhand movement (7 questions)
- The specific identity of Jharkhand (5 questions)

- Jharkhand: People and Literature; dance; music; instruments tourist places; tribal culture(5 questions)
- Jharkhand: major educational institutions(3 questions)
- Jharkhand: Sports (5 questions)
- Jharkhand: Land related Laws/Acts(12 questions)
- Jharkhand: Industries and resources(6 questions)

JPSC PCS Mains Examination
- There are six papers in mains.
- All are compulsory papers.
- There is no optional subject in JPSC PCS mains examinations.
- Paper-I is qualifying wherein a minimum of 30 marks is mandatory.

Interview/ Personality Test
After mains examination, the shortlisted candidates will appear for the interview level which will be of 100 marks.
Then finally a list of selected candidates is prepared based on the merit developed on the basis of marks obtained at mains and interview level. Thus a total of 1050 is considered while preparing the final result.
