A plan becomes a necessity while preparing for the key exam of your life, we have tried to cover the most important preparation strategies that can help you to ace your class 9th exam :

#1 Make A Study Plan

“A goal without a plan is just a wish” is completely suitable for the ones who understand the importance of a time management plan. Before you begin your board preparation, you need to make sure that you have a plan ready for it. A good preparation timetable will include time to relax as well as time to complete the syllabus well before the exam date in an effective and efficient manner. Make a study plan of at least 10-12 hours per day, which includes, what various activities you are going to do in a particular frame of time, what to study (subject or topic), and last but not the least, total duration taken by each topic. Do not forget to include the exercises and yoga in your timetable which will indirectly help in developing a better concentration.

#2 List Down the Most Important chapters

You should have a clear idea about the chapters that are much time consuming and important. You need to make a separate list on the chapters from each subject that carries the high weightage from an exam point of view and allocate extra time for those chapters.

#3 Stick to the Important Topics

This tip is most commonly missed by the students while preparing for their board exams. Some students tend to cover hard topics and miss the basic foundational concepts. Sticking to the NCERT syllabus should be the utmost priority of every student while preparing for their exams. Some students stick to the hard topics and highly weightage topics which might not come in the exam every time, but sticking to basic topics can help a student to boost their knowledge and confidence for that particular subject. Hence, sticking to the syllabus is the key aspect of a preparation strategy for board exams.

#4 Give Color Codes To Subjects

To easily identify the subjects of your choice, try to give them color codes. Even though you can mark each one of your subjects with a separate color codes instead of calling them English, Maths, etc.

#5 Practice Sample Papers As Much As You Can

We all are familiar with the famous proverb i.e. “Practice makes a man perfect” which tells us the importance of continuous practice in any subject to succeed in it. Practicing sample papers on a daily basis during the last month of your board exams may give you a clear idea of the important topics and the topics which have been repeated over time. Some topics are repeated every year and hence must be given importance while preparation.

#6 Mix and Match The Topics

As studying for long hours for a particular topic will put you in a tedious situation. Suppose, if you plan to study complete Mathematics in 6 hours, of course, it is not possible. Try to use a combination of two to three subjects in that particular time frame that is, six hours. This will make you feel confident and a bit active.

#7 Revise Your Concepts

“Revision is the key to success” - This quote should be at your fingertips while preparing for your board exams. Regular revision is very much needed and is an inseparable part of a study plan. It is important to remember the concept which you have learned and then only you will be able to write it in your exam. Develop a habit to revise the concepts on a regular basis and do not postpone it. Postponing your revision can put you in a state of panic when you start feeling that there are a lot of things to revise and I am forgetting the concepts.

#8 Do Not Compromise With Your Health and Mind

Eat healthy food timely. Do not skip your meals no matter what. Also, sleep enough. To give your best shot in the exam and to relax your mind, you should be healthy and in a position to convert your knowledge to marks. No matter how stressful the situation is, try to keep calm.
