Vishal covers ‘x’ distance at some speed while another boy, Pratik covers 25% of the distance covered by Vishal at the speed 25% more than the speed of Vishal. The total time taken by both Vishal and Pratik to cover their respective distances in 4 hours and 48 minutes. If the boatman covers 24 km downstream in 1 hour and 12 minutes and the speed of boatman in still water and speed of stream are in the ratio of 4:1, then find the value of ‘x’, if speed of Vishal is equal to the speed of boatman in still water.

Three schemes 1, 2 and 3 provide interest rates in ratio 2: 3: 2. Vishal invests equal sums of money in these three for time periods in the ratio 1: 2: 1respectively. Simple interest is received in scheme 1 while in scheme 2 and 3 the interest is compounded annually and semi – annually respectively. The ratio of amounts received from 3 to 1 is 441: 440 and difference of amounts received from 2 to 3 is Rs. 2200. Find the money invested in each scheme if investment in scheme 3 is done for 1 year.

Six similar inlet pipes and ‘x’ similar outlet pipes can fill an empty tank in 45 minutes. The efficiency of each inlet pipes is 50% more than the efficiency of each outlet pipe. If pipe A individually can fill the same tank in 54 minutes and the efficiency of one inlet pipe is 30% of the efficiency of pipe A, then find the value of ‘x’.

A shopkeeper A sold the 40% watches at the profit of 50% and 80% purses at the profit of 20% and another shopkeeper B sold the 25% watches at the profit of 65% and 75% purses at the profit of 10%. Find the sum of the average profit percent of the shopkeeper A and the average profit percent of the shopkeeper B, if they sell only these two kind of things?Both shopkeepers have equal number of watches and purses individually.
