Democracy is always based on consultation and discussion owing to its free and fair mode of operations. A democracy is a system of government where the people have freedom of speech in all the decisions pertaining to the nation. The people in a democratic nation have the authority to decide the legislation or to choose government servants to do so.

Therefore, all the decisions that have been made or are made in a democracy are always based on the opinions of the public. No major decision can be made without being discussed or thought upon, depending on the views and reactions of the people.

Democracy and Decision-making

A democracy is a system where the government is elected by the people and for the people. Therefore, what the people of a country think makes a large difference in a democratic nation. There are a number of people involved in the decision-making process in a democracy.

The decisions, therefore, that are taken in a democracy are quite transparent as the process that is adopted to come to these decisions is also fair enough as public opinion is majorly taken into consideration here. India is a democracy, and any kind of decision which is directly connected to its people, growth and development is sat upon and discussed, and a final decision is taken after several meetings and sessions. The process is a bit time-taking, but it helps prevent the possibility of irrational and wrong decisions. This prevents any major or disruptive breakout among the various regions of the country.
