The first Chief Minister of Bihar was Shri Krishna Sinha. He was also known as Shri Babu. He was the Chief Minister of Bihar in the Congress ministry from 1937 to his death in 1961.

He was born on 21 October 1887 in Maur village, Sheikhpura, Bengal Presidency, British India.
