The New India was a daily newspaper which was published in India by Annie Besant. The New India Weekly was intended to be a daily newspaper that originated in the early 20th century. The sole purpose of starting this newspaper was to highlight the issues of the Indian freedom struggle.

The newspaper played an important medium of an open expression of Annie Besant’s own views with respect to the hardships faced by Indian freedom fighters during that period.
