Who is the Present Election Commissioner of India?

Rajiv Kumar is the Present Election Commissioner of India and has assumed office with effect from 15 May 2022. He was a 1984 batch IAS officer of the Bihar/Jharkhand cadre and retired from Indian Administrative Service in February 2020. Prior to him, Shri Sushil Chandra was the Chief Election Commissioner, who held the position from 13 April 2021 to 14 May 2022.
