Kerala has launched a portal named ILGMS. On September 3, 2021, the Keralan government unveiled a portal, an integrated mechanism for managing local self-governance (ILGMS). It intends to give the populace remote access to panchayat office services. This service gets praise from across the country as it helped the locals a lot.

The Information Kerala Mission produced the open-source ILGMS software. In the State, the project was started in 153 gramme panchayats, and 150 more would be added.

More than 200 services are accessible to the public through the intelligent e-governance system, including applications for birth, death, and other types of certificates, paying taxes, and filing complaints and appeals. In September of last year, 155 additional grama panchayats were included to the second phase. M.V. Govindan, the minister for local self-government, had earlier this year declared that all grama panchayats would be included in the public's access to all local body services.
