World's Largest National Park by area
Northeast Greenland National park is the largest national park on the earth by area with more than 40 inhabitants and high arctic species of fauna. It covers an area of 972,000 Km stretched over the northeastern part of Greenland north of Lttoqqortoormiit and continues from the Knud Rasmussen’s Land in the north to Mestersvig in the east.
Northeast Greenland National park has a coastline of 18,000 Km. The coastline includes the world’s northernmost area of land and the highest parts of the largest ice cap in the Northern Hemisphere.
