Where are Ox-Bow Lakes Found?

Ox-bow lakes are found in River valley. These lakes are stagnant water bodies lying alongside of winding river and shaped in a crescent. The ox-bow lake is formed over time as erosion and deposition of soil change the river's course.

There is one Ox-bow lake in India i.e. Vynthala lake located in Kerala whereas the largest ox-bow is Lake Chicot which is situated on the east side of Lake Village, Arkansas.
