When did Gandhiji Return to India from South Africa?

On January 9, 1915, the father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi came to Bombay from South Africa after living two decades there. This day is also observed as Non-Resident Indian Day (Pravasi Bharatiya Divas)

M K Gandhi went to South Africa in April 1893 when he was 21 years old and worked as a lawyer in Johannesburg. He has been also a part of the British Empire there. Gandhiji returned to India at the request of Gopal Krishna Gokhale.
