So, the candidates can apply for the GD/PI round on the official website of XLRI. Candidates need to log in with their XAT registration ID and submit their scores.

Here are some experts tips from BYJU’S Exam Prep, and the candidates will find it beneficial for the preparation.

Start Preparation for XAT GD (Group Discussion) Round

Group discussion is a very important round for the XAT selection process. GD round assesses the skills of candidates, including communication, decision making, leadership, and analytical reasoning. In GD, the candidates need to analyse the given topic first and then deliver their thoughts in front of the panel.

The GD round monitors candidates’ performance in soft skills. Thereby, the candidates must be sincere in their preparation by polishing their communication skills. For this, they need a regular touch-up on current affairs and a habit of reading newspapers and good magazines daily.

Do practice for XAT WAT Round: Written Test Ability

The WAT round normally follows the round of group discussion. The candidates will receive an essay topic to write, and they have to deliver it within a scheduled time. So, the candidates must be aware of writing an essay in an unbiased way, without any grammatical and constructional errors.

  • When assessing the essay's topic, do not jump to any conclusions. The topic's material may be persuasive, but that does not indicate you will steer it in a specific path.
  •  Include supporting facts and numbers in your essay. The more evidence you provide for the essay's subject, the greater weight it will have in terms of appropriateness.
  • Make sure the essay outline is appropriately structured. The proper format includes an introductory paragraph that introduces your topic, two-paragraph bodies that state the essay's major objective, and a conclusion that ties everything together.
  •  Pay attention to the essay's word count and time constraints.

Prepare for XAT PI - Personal Interview

This is a personality assessment activity round, in which the interviewers ask questions to the candidates from their education, work experience, and areas of interest. This round evaluates the candidates based on their interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills, and aptitude.

You must seek guidance from mentors and experts to prepare yourself for the Interview round. Be confident while answering questions and pay attention to what is being asked.

Questions like "Describe yourself," "Why do you want to pursue an MBA," and "Why XLRI" are the ones you should focus on. Each of these questions necessitates a well-thought-out, truthful, and inventive response.

Prepare General Studies

The candidates must have a strong grip on general studies. It is the core area for all three rounds, including GD, PI, and WAT. For this, the candidates must be aware of current happenings in different business areas, economies, health in both the national and international world.

XAT 2022 Cut Off

Additionally, if the candidates belong to the non-technical category, then cut-off marks will differ from candidates with technical backgrounds.
