What is the Tertiary Sector?

The Tertiary sector is one of the three major sectors of the economy. It is related to providing the facilities and services while supporting the remaining two sectors in order to have a free flow of economic activity. It primarily supports the process of production and manufacturing. It includes services such as tourism, insurance, banking, education, trade, transport, tourism and communication. It does not participate in the early stages of extraction of raw materials, natural resources and manufacturing the products. It is connected to the finished goods and services related to them.

Tertiary Sector

The Tertiary sector is also known as the 'Services Sector', providing various services all over the world. It contributes to a developing economy by providing employment at a good rate throughout the world. More and more people are entering the tertiary sector for employment purposes. The tourism industry in the tertiary sector alone accounts for a large amount of revenue generation, which amounts to almost 42% of the total GDP.

Other services that the tertiary sector deals in are insurance, banking, education, trade, transport, tourism and communication.
