The full form of PRT and TGT is Primary Teacher and Trained Graduate Teacher. As the name suggests, a Primary Teacher is in charge of teaching elementary classes from grades 1 to 5. In contrast, a TGT is eligible to teach classes from 6 to 10. PRT teachers build children’s education foundations. Their duties go beyond teaching math, language arts, science, and social studies. PRTs teach youngsters morality, creativity, and social skills. TGT teachers are subject experts. They teach complex topics and prepare pupils for board exams. TGT teachers help students learn and achieve their career goals.

In addition to the degree, completing a B.Ed. or other teacher training programs is essential to qualify for the TGT role.
