What is the full form of AFSPA?

The full form of the term AFSPA is Armed Forces Special Powers Act. The parliament launched a program that offers superior authority to the Indian Armed Forces and the state and paramilitary forces in "disturbed areas".

This AFSPA act got implemented to balance law and order in disturbed locations. It was established on September 11, 1958.

Armed Forces Special Powers Act, also popularly known as AFSPA, was undertaken by the parliament in the year 1958.

This act is currently active in 31 districts of 4 Northeast states and partly in 12 districts. The states that offer extraordinary powers to the Armed forces are Jammu and Kashmir, Nagaland, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, and Manipur.
