Difference between Green Dustbin and Blue Dustbin
There are two types of generated waste- biodegradable (e.g., waste coming out of the kitchen) and non-biodegradable waste (the dy waste, e.g., broken glass pieces, newspaper). Both these wastes have different ways of recycling. Thus, separating them at the ground level will help the management in easy treatment. So, the municipality uses different colored dustbins to segregate the waste to ease the treatment process.
- Green Dustbin- The green dustbin is used to dispose of biodegradable waste or compostable material. These wastes can be converted into manure for reuse. It includes waste from the kitchen, e.g., vegetables, flowers, fruits, etc.
- Blue Dustbin- The blue dustbin is used to get rid of non-biodegradable waste, i.e., the material that can be recycled. It includes materials like aluminium cans, plastic bottles, metals, etc.
