What is Mudaliar Commission?

The Mudaliar Commission was an education commission set up to review the secondary education system in India. Its primary purpose was to examine the country's secondary education system conditions and suggest ways to improve them. When the report was submitted in August 1963, one of the commission's main recommendations was that the middle or lower secondary or upper primary level should cover 3 years and the upper secondary level should cover 4 years.
