The major industrial regions of India include the Hooghly region, Ahmedabad-Baroda region, Visakhapatnam-Guntur belt, Chotanagpur industrial region, Mumbai-Pune cluster, Bangalore-Tamil Nadu region, Gurgaon-Delhi-Meerut region, and Kollam-Thiruvananthapuram industrial cluster. Industrial Regions of India
An industrial area is an area planned for the purpose of industrial development. It is a more heavy version of a business park or office park, with offices and light industry than heavy industry. Industrial areas are notable for being relatively easy to manufacture.
These are usually installed in or outside the main residential area of a city. The area is selected by considering some of the key points like good transport access including road and rail, availability of water, etc. Their location is usually close to transportation facilities where there is more than one mode of transport, such as highways, railroads, airports, and seaports.
