There are mainly 4 Branches of Horticulture depending upon the corps it deals with such as:
- Floriculture- deals with the science and practice of flowering and ornamental crops.
- Pomology- this branch of horticulture deals with producing, harvesting, processing, preserving, storing, and marketing nuts and fruits.
- Olericulture- deals with the scientific study and practice of vegetable crops
- Post-harvest technology- this is one of the main branches of horticulture that deals with the practices and principles of packaging, handling, and processing of harvested crops. It aims to increase the availability of and storage life.
